Project name: Introduction of Solar Cookers and Improved Stoves in the Tilori Community – 3 Months

Started in October 2017, this project, granted by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to the Initiative for the Environment and Integrated Development in Haiti, aims to reduce deforestation by offering an alternative cooking method through the distribution of solar stoves and improved stoves in the Tilori community. As part of a larger reforestation/agroforestry project carried out by TNC and its partners in the same community, this initiative has reached more than 200 families. Project participants have also benefited from training on the use, maintenance, and repair of the stoves, as well as on best conservation practices.
